Luiza Angheluta (born in 1982, Romania) is a PhD student at PGP since
2006. She graduated with B.Sc. (2005) and Cand. Scient. (2006) in Physics
from the University of Copenhagen, Niels Bohr Institute. During the summer
of 2005, she participated to The Karin Kupcinet International Science
School, Weizmann Institute of Science, where she worked on the Lyapunov
stability analysis in shell models of turbulence. Her Master's thesis was
about the anomalous scalings in turbulence and of passively advected
fields.

Her current PhD research is focused on physical modelling of the
stress-induced mechanisms of dissolution, transport and precipitation
(also known as pressure solution) in multiphase solids. Particular
questions are related to the formation and roughening (instability) of
interfaces, where the dissolution/precipitation processes are localized.
